Fidenza to Medesano, 23 km, followed by a transfer to our hotel in Sant’Andrea Bagni, sunny with a cool breeze.
We really liked Fidenza..it’s a very pretty city, at least the part we saw of it. Our hotel was close to the center so after a short rest we went wandering around. We discovered that there were to be fireworks to celebrate one of their patron saints. We finally found out the time – 10 pm, past our bedtime. So at 10pm we woke up to very loud music, in English…Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel etc and loud fireworks. No sooner did they end and we were back asleep!

I took so many pics today. The scenery changed from flat plains to rolling hills. From country roads, to grass covered pastures, uphill and down…it was spectacular. I’m just going to post them all. You may have to zoom in to see them properly.

And finally, we arrived in Medesano where we were instructed to find Bar Verdi, where a private transfer to our hotel in Sant’Andrea Bagni was waiting.

This morning, at our hotel in Fidenza, we met Brian from the UK walking from Fidenza to Pontremoli. He’s tall, with long legs, leaving us in the dust. Now, at almost 7pm, heading to the Pizzaria beside our hotel to meet up for dinner.
