Happy to be Back Walking

Pontremoli to Mocrone, 18 km, cool, perfect weather for walking. As you’ll see from the pics, there were black clouds threatening but we had not a drop of rain until just after we reached our destination at 3-ish. We walked along country roads mostly, both paved, dirt, or gravel, forest pathways, and stairs up. We had been worried about mud but never encountered anything impossible or impassable. We had to be cautious at times on slippery, moss or leaf covered rocks.

Found this really cool little pilgrim site where, as a pilgrim, you could hammer in a tiny nail. Almost halfway to Rome!!

And finally, arriving at our hotel, a welcome sight.
