To Siena

Monteriggioni to Siena, 22km, cool and misty until noon-ish and then sunny and warm the rest of the day.

It was a great walk. Oh so beautiful. We walked on a variety of paths from country roads, to secondary highways, to paths through woods.

At times, it was a bit of a struggle for Mike, especially the last 5 km. Stopped at a “Tabache” shop (kind of like our 7-11 but way smaller), and bought Mike a Powerade. A short while later, he was “good as new!”

Siena is a beautiful city. Too bad we don’t have more time explore here.

  1. Happy to hear Mike is on the mend. Is it strictly barley and grapes now for happy hour? What a beautiful mystical day you had.
