2 Days and Counting!

Day 47: Sutri to Campagnano Di Roma, 16 km

Leaving Sutri….in the morning mist…

Waiting for the bus with this old gent….

Took the bus to Monterosi to shorten the distance, then rejoined the Via for the rest of the way to Campagnola.

Great walk IN THE SUN!!! Here are a few pics of our walk today…

They must have had a lot of rain here too…came across small landslides…

And then, the climb up to the village of Campagnola Di Roma…another mountain top village…

We try to follow the mantra the Aussie girls Prue and Heather taught us…” single digits after noon!” Meaning, in the afternoon, no more than 9 kilometers. We try to get the larger part of the kilometers early on, when we’re fresh. The last 3 to 5 kilometers are always the most difficult.

Also received some pics from Paul from Ottawa of us crossing a stream. That was a few posts ago when I wrote about getting wet feet on three separate occasions….my feet were wet most of that day’s walk and were fine on the walk thanks to wool socks but man oh man were they sore that night!

Tomorrow to Giustiniana and then, the next day, to Rome!!
