A Scheduled Travel Day

Lucca to San Miniato Alto by train and transfer. Cool, rainy, then some sun in the afternoon. We were going to check our bags in Pisa and go see the Leaning Tower but decided we’d had enough of crowds and chose to just go straight to San Miniato.

The village is on a mountain top, “arranged along the ridge of three hills.” We had fun exploring it today….several churches, two towers, narrow streets and a piazza where we had lunch.

  2. You didn’t go to the leaning tower? I struggled with that until I put it into perspective. That’s like going to Toronto and not going to see the Leafs. Totally understandable. 😉😁
